after installing the LMC5 I still have the pull key and wait fault. after looking over the instructions again. I noticed where it says to be sure to notice the original orientation of the metal terminal. How do I tell now if they are in the right position ? I know, dumb mistake.
Did you do the "brown wire mod"? It says it is optional but it should be done. It gets rid of the pull key wait 10 seconds problems that some cars have after installing the LMC5.

I don't believe the metal terminal will snap in place correctly if the orientation is incorrect. As others have suggested, you probably need to do the brown wire mod. Not difficult to do.
Check the fuse as well that they recommend inspecting if you have issues. I forget what one it is, but it's all in their instructions.
I did the LMC5 install and a while later I was autocrossing and inserting/removing the key too fast. I ended up popping the fuse and getting the DIC message. Column never locked up and drove home with no issues. I read over the instructions and voila, fuse popped. New fuse and no more issues.
I managed to get a terminal installed 180 deg out. Think I got a Service Column lock message. Brown wire mod didn't help. Managed to figure it out by comparing the terminals and changing the one that was different.
