2000 Windows
I've driven many different cars that have the feature of opening the window(s) about 1/2" at unlock and closing the window at either door close or door lock (w/ auto lock feature). Mini Convt and hard top, BMW, Camaro rental car. Was thinking simple - power wire- signal for unlock- timed output to windows (down)- signal from Lock- timed output to windows up. Signal would be from key fob unlock, Auto lock and key fob lock button.
Any suggestions? Has anyone done something like this?
Thanks for any help.

I assume you have found the adjustments at the front and back bottom of doors.
You can also loosen the two bolts that clamp the window to the regulator then you can slide the window forward or backward.
There are fine adjustment screws under the clamps that allow you to adjust the angle of window front to back.
Back edge of glass will just barely miss touching the top when closing the door.
Tip will nicely tuck under the top when fully closed. Good luck. Don't give up.

Here's a pic of how it should look....
