Default Hawk HPS pads

Got my new pads today (can't beat the price from TireRack, btw). I opened the box and was very surprised to see that the rear pads are literally hardly half the size (if that even) of the fronts! Is that correct? Don't wanna get into the job and find out I got the wrong thing shipped. That would make me very :mad The box is marked "corvette", I just wasn't expecting to see such a small pad.

Yep, the brake pads in the back are much smaller because they do a lot less of the braking work.

Yes, they're correct. I thought the same thing when I got my hawks. Make sure you break them in properly.

That's correct. Take a look at the Baer web site to get instructions on how to bed the new pads.

I like the Hawk HPS pads...only drawback, they make lots of dust. I have to clean my wheels every couple of days.

Really?? One of the reasons I decided on these is that they claim to produce extremely low dust! With the stock pads I already have to clean my wheels about every 3 to 4 days
oh well, the performance better be better than stock, otherwise I'll be even more disappointed.

They produce more dust because they perform so much better than stock pads and thus produce more dust in the process. I love my Hawk pads and will use Hawk in whatever future vehicles i have. It's such a cheap and effective mod, and who wouldn't want better brakes?
