My 2000 coupe's A/C blows cold (not ice cold) at idle but warms up as I accelerate. The passenger side vent seems to be slightly warmer than the center vent but not excessively so. When I change modes, the arrow points to the floor but blows out the defroster. The defroster mode works in normal fashion, as do the other modes. I had the A/C evacuated and refilled. No leaks and the system is full, but the A/C doesn't get cold while driving. The shop said I need a new A/C compressor but I'm not sure that will fix the problem as far as giving me cold A/C. The mode issue is likely an acuator and I'm not really concerned about that as long as it doesn't affect the temperature of the air coming out of the vents. The heat works okay other than the passenger floor vent doesn't seem to open. Likely another actuator? At the moment I'm more concerned about the air temperature rather than where it's coming out from. Some questions:
Will a new compressor fix my A/C problem as far as air temperature is concerned?
Do the acuators/blend doors effect the air temperature regardless of temperature setting?
If so, should I address the blend door issue first?
Obviously if it's a blend door issue, I don't want to replace the compressor if that's not the problem. I've read that pulling fuse 27 for a minute will reset everything but have been unable to locate it. I currently have no HVAC codes although I reset some historical ones. I did pull the A/C fuse under the hood for a bit, and I have replaced the climate control module.

Fix the blend door first. Common issue. Refill with dye in the Freon. Replace both schrader valves. After a few weeks check for leaks. If you have a leak, most likely either o rings on back of compressor or mid compressor seal. The latter requires a new compressor. Unlikely that the lines or condenser is leaking.
Thanks for the replies. The shop said no leaks in the A/C system and I need a compressor. I get 2 HVAC codes. BO367 and BO446. Right actuator feedback open and right actuator out of range, so I know that needs corrected. What I don’t know is how this relates to the to the air temperature coming out of the vents and the correlation between the compressor and the actuators.
Not seized. Doesn’t make any noise either. Shop said it doesn’t build enough pressure. I don’t want to replace the compressor if the problem is in the actuators.
Or the compressor could be bad? Seems like the system holds pressure at low RPM. I’ve dealt with this shop for 15 years. Always been good. He has the right A/C equipment but probably doesn’t work on Corvettes much.
