I need to pull off my power steering pully and reinstall it. Does anyone know where to get the tools and what the part numbers are? I understand that Snap-On has them but I don't know which ones are the correct tools. The service manual says to use tools J-something but I don't know where to get those either.
I believe the J-**** #s are for the Kent-Moore GM specialty tool catalog. Call your Dealer? Or call 1-800-GM-tools item#- GM01-319 for catalog. Good Luck!
If anybody can pull the pulley off of a powersteering pump AND reinstall it with the pump STILL in working condition on a C5 using the tools called out for in the manual... hats off to ya brotha :yesnod:

We have pulled several pullies off the power steering pump. Each time using the Kent-Moore (GM specific) puller. And each time we break the hub off the pulley. The Snap-On is the same design and will do the same as the Kent-Moore. Still in search for a better puller. After using the Kent-Moore pulley installer and installing the pump and pulley back on the car, the pumps went bad. So it is easier and less time consuming to buy a new pump and pulley from the dealer.
