Slipping Clutch Question
Hey guys, I have a general question: Do you all know what it generally runs to have the clutch replaced on a C5? Mine seems to be on it's way out the door. The symptoms are under light throttle its bucking a little, like the clutch is slipping. I would like to get a general idea on how bad I should get hit. Thanks in advance, Mark.

A local shop here quoted me 500 for parts 750 for labor. I am in the middle of trying to do it myself. I bought the parts from a Corvette Forum vendor: http://www.xmotorsports.com/home/

$750 to a grand is apprx what you will hear, however for 2 or 3 hundred more dollars in parts you could have a star stage III clutch and it will end any problems you have with slippage even if you significantly increase horse power & torque. While you have the clutch out its the time to change flywheels if you want aluminum or another alloy as the flywheels typically come with the clutch packages and you don't want to go through another change if you can avoid it from both the financial aspect or if you are doing it yourself. My star clutch has zero slippage and I'm pushing as much as 550rwhp with h/c package and ati procharger.
