Default Rough Idle on manual

I'm a first time Vette owner, I have a 99 with 6 speed. I'm not sure if normal or not but the car idles kinda rough when at a complete stop. I have had all plugs and wires replaced and one ignition coil on the 8th cylinder that was intermetinly misfired. No codes from the DIC. I have a custom exhaust as well don't know if that could be why. Have read a few topics on this and some say LS engines it is normal. Just seeing what kinda info i would get back since those were older posts.
Thanks, Brian

Rough idle isn't normal. Make sure plug wires are seated properly, check for Vacuum leaks and maybe clean the MAF sensor along with throttle body.

Good chance you have a vacuum leak....can be tough to run down (find). Any codes?

No codes in DIC, Throttle Body has been cleaned. I will clean MAF sensor. As far as Vacuum leaks Hoses are in good condition but I know the smallest crack can cause issue. Ill run threw the hoses again

clean that sensor with MAF sensor sprays only. Take a peek at your PVC hose & where the valve is in.

Have not had a problem with the idle in the Vette, but with my Murano I did. Put some Sea Foam and then with Techron and all smooth out. Cheap fix.

As was mentioned if you can get a scan tool on the car that would help immensely !!...at least you may have some direction and not be changing parts needlessly !!...how did you determine you had a #8 cylinder misfire ??

Found out about the misfire from shop when had new clutch installed and Fuel filter, Fuel system cleaning, and Throttle body cleaned. They told me a misfire on 8th cylinder. Then changed plugs and wires and replaced coil on 8th cylinder

After looking/chasing down a vacuum leak...…..starter fluid and propane....finally found a hole in a hose, you could get your finger in. Was thankful and pissed off and pulled out the entire AIR system. Vette never ran better.

Just to let everyone know who gave info on my issue couldn't find vacuum leak and cleaned MAF sensor so took to shop because beyond my ability from there. They said my fuel injector on cylinder 3 is not working. Have not received my car back yet so will see tomorrow if that was it.
