Default Winter Project !

The cold is here and it’s put away! Got out my my ls9 cam with timing conversion! As I start ripping it down what’s a good option for a replacement intake?

Need to replace the follow also! Clutch is worn! During this escapade Like to get a ls7 clutch with a competition 9.8 fly wheel. Slave cylinder clutch pedal springs . Along with one of those gear shifter I saw up here on the forum it’s like stock but rebuilt stronger. Replacing oil pan gaskets. Is this the perfect time to do the rear main also?

Does anyone have any experience using the cam replacement tool designed to go in the heads so you don’t need to remove them? Does the steering rack need to come back out again?

Also a nice set of the black zr1 c7 rims are going on.

The balancer has to come off to swap the cam, so yes the steering rack has to come down. FAST and MSD are both good intake choices. you'll probably want an LS2 throttle body for either intake you choose. A dowel rod will work to hold the lifters while the cam is out. You'll probably need new, stronger valve springs and new push rods with the more aggressive cam. Good luck with it.

Still on the drawing board for longevity! 3.903 diamonds . forged rods. 3.75 counter balance. Maybe a wider 1st. Pretty much all stock spec just about just adding strength. 92 or 102 undecided!

Not a easy decision! Given the ls3 boosted blocks are in that same price range built!
