running rich

i installed my flp headers now the car is running rich. do i have to adjust anything? :confused:

Time to autotap and see how rich you are...then you might be able to use a MAF translator to adjust it and straighten it out :cheers:

MAF Translator is a PITA.

Running rich is very common when air flow exceeds the expectations of the stock programming.

Much better off tuning with Ls1Edit, AutoTap and Dyno

How do you know it is running rich? I am curious because I just installed FLP's and have no codes or other evidence that it is running rich. Won't the long term fuel trim adjustments eventually compensate?

i thought i might be running rich because of the excess carbon coming out of the exhaust and water too :eek:

Now that you mention it, I have noticed some sootiness in the exhaust tips. Before the headers, the exhaust ran ultra clean. Hmmm. Sounds like time for some Autotap/Predator/LS1 Edit investigation. :yesnod:
