Default which is it?

I'm trying to replace horn membrane on my 2000 but can't seem to find a torx bit that fits cover screws. I have read that it is a T30 but that does not seem to engage at all. I also read that it is a T28 which I do not have yet. Before I buy more tools can someone confirm the size and type of screw head that removes cover. Thanks for your help.

If by "doesn't engage at all" you mean T30 didn't fit in it at all, it could be a T27 which is a fairly common size. T28 is not a torx bit I am familiar with. In this case, I have more experience with torx than I do with the horn itself so I can't tell you for sure what hardware it has.

Don't know what size it is but don't strip it otherwise it will be almost impossible to get out. My friend stripped this bolt out and he just gave up because the was no way for him to drill it out without removing the steering column.
