engine trouble code-po410 air system problem ???
tech keeps replacing secondary air injection pump and same check engine comes back in a few days. this has been replaced twice and error message was back friday. vette is a 99 vert. with 31,000 miles. not my car i'm trying to help my brother in-law. thanks :flag

I just had code P0140 repaired on my 2000. I am not sure what code P0410 is. My code was for the secondary air system also. My positive terminal had broken on my battery leaking acid onto a vacuum line creating a hole. New battery, hose and clean up done by dealer. :eek:

i may have that code # wrong. it came from my brother in-law. he's also showing 28-tcs #1286 h c, and #1288 h c. i read the h means code # is no longer an issue, but what about the "c" after the "h". all other codes have the "h" after them. thanks :flag

I am sorry for the mis-information. I gave you the code without having accesss to my Code list. I had the same code P0410 Air System-B. It is the same one your brother-in-law has. Like I said, it was a hole in the vacuum line under the battery caused by the leaking acid from the broken positive terminal on the battery. The code C1286 is for the steering Sensor Bias Malfunction. Not an expert and don't know what it is. The C1288 is not on my code list. As for the C (current) and H (history) not sure about those, but my vette had the C and H after the P0410 code also.
