Ok, I finally got my Corsa Indy Classic system with the 3.5 Pro Tips. Get the car on the lift and in 5 minutes I've got the sway bar down, the bolts off the pipe and the muffler hanger unbolted.
I then spent the better part of 90 minutes trying to jiggle, wedge, wiggle, etc. the stock muffler/pipe up and over the rear axle/swingarm assembly, to no avail. I got it wedged a number of times between the heatshield and the tranny but my back finally gave out before I got it out.
Does anyone have any tips/tricks/advice? I really don't want to cut my stock system up as I may be buying another C5 and transferring my Corsa system.
I'm all ears. This is supposed to be a simple swap, but I must be missing something as I couldn't get that damn pipe out.
I have done this many times.....no problems....sometimes it gets wedged but just have to wiggle it thru.....are you using a lift? If not then that is your problem...not enough room to bring the mufflers low enough at an angle where it will slide over.......if you are using a lift...just wiggle it...justa lil bit (bad humor)......hope this helps.....it doesnt seem like you are missing a step(not much to miss)
Once you do that, lower the muffler a little while twisting it and work the pipe over the axle. I had no problem however, the muffler must come way down for the pipe to clear the axle. The lift needs to be pretty high. Hope this helps. Sometimes a rest and start again works as well as anything.
Dude, if it is your passenger side that is causing the problem, try removing the heatsheild. Mine came right offafter that.

I had the same problem on the pass side (4A) just remove the heat shield on the gas tank and the flange will slip through :flag
Thanks! I think I'll try this.
I had it up on the lift and had the wheels right at the rear edge (chocked) so I had plenty of room to swing down the muffler, but I couldn't get the passenger side pipe out for nothing.
I also am adding a small jack under the lifting point and raising the suspension about 3 inches (came up with this one myself) and think this should give me enough room (with taking off the heat shield to get it out.
Thanks to everyone for the advice. I've heard that stickshift cars have it a little easier than those of us with the A4's.
