Odometer/Speedomter Issues

I recently had to jump start my 99 to drove it to winter stoarge.After the jump,the odometer is "stuck" and speedometer stays at "0" while
driving. The speedometer does go through the sweeping motion at start up. I have already removed the battery. Was there a surge that caused this?
What are the chances it will "reset" itself when I put in a new battery in the spring? Thanks in advance!!

Speedometer sweep is a good sign....it could be a bad VSS vehicle speed sensor or bad connection. I would see if the HUD speed or the cruise control works then the VSS is working.

Thanks for the reply...I don't have the HUD.But I will check to see if the cruise control works.Hopefully it's nothing too serious(or expensive)!!
