Default The Goldilocks suspension

After a couple of tries at a suspension setup for the street. I believe this one is "just right".
Z51 shocks and rear spring with the base front spring and base stabilizer bars front and rear.
The ride is just compliant enough to take the edge off serious bumps but still have good manners in the curves and on undulating asphalt. The floatiness of the FE1 setup is totally gone and the race ready sharpness of DRM revalved shocks is a thing of the past after replacing them with the GM FE3 dampers. Spirited driving feels fine with the understanding that its not a track car. I realize every person has their own "sweet spot" when it comes to suspension choices, but for the budget minded gearhead, this setup really feels right.

When I had my C5 coupe with the Z51 suspension, the biggest change for me was ditching the run flats. Those hard non compliant tires are like rocks. Put a quality performance tire on the car and it changed the harshness but kept the stiffness.

Having since moved to an 04 Z06, I kinda like how firm it rides, still non-run flat tires, but more refined suspension overall compared to my 2000 coupe.

Glad you found your sweet spot!
