Default 2000 automatic wiring question

so, im putting back together a basket case 2000. at the trans end of things, theres something missing. I think.

trans itself has a round plug to plug into that controls the solenoids, etc. only plug from the body ive found in the vicinity so far is a rectangular one on the passengers side attached to the tunnel/framerail. looking through the FSM, it doesn't appear that there should be a subharness or control box or anything back there, but im honestly not certain.

anyone know where the round male plug comes from, or if theres something missing? I have no modules, round plug, etc back there. nothing.

The connector you are looking for is part of the wiring harness that comes from the engine and is routed along the torque tube.
There are three other connectors on the trans and diff that are part of that harness, one goes to the speed sensor on the diff. The other 2 go to the switch assembly on the side of the trans where the shift linkage connects.

When you put the drive line back into the car that connector may be caught back a bit. Hate to say it but you may have to drop the trans down a bit to get to it.

Well, crap. That whole harness is gone. Explains the two round plugs in the engine bay with no match!

guess its time to find one.
