Default 2003 C5 corvette suspension

Hi Guys

I have a 2003 convertible supercharged automatic. I'm in the market for improving my suspension, I'm running C6 Grand sport leaf spring and sway bars. im pretty pleased with it but i still want to improve the ride quality. My magnetic ride sucks, bumpy no control on the valving. Im happy with the handling in terms of no body roll. Im debating of just getting shock or would coilover makes it better. I'm thinking Ridetech adjustable shocks, QA1 double adjustables. Any recommendations or any experience with any brand that you guys are using. I do a lot of trackday's with my M3 and i'm running MCS with my M3 and im running 800 fr 900 rr lb springs and it rides like a stock car that's how good the suspension. Just debating if keeping the leaf spring is ok or need to go coilovers.....My vette is a cruiser and occasional drag strip....and my wife drives it too.

Have the magnetic ride deleted and move to C6 Z06 shocks, if not seriously tracking except for 1/8 or 1/4 runs every so often. . Best bang for the buck IMO.

So youre running the C6 Grand sport leaf spring up front, but C6 rear leaf springs don't fit our cradles. What are you using for the rear spring?
I too would recommend the C6 Z06 shocks. They are firm, but don't turn the car into a skateboard.
I think with the C6 Z06 Shocks, C6 GS Sways, C6 GS Front Leaf spring, and C5 Z06 Rear Leaf Spring, you'd be pretty happy.

Kurt, since you have the Magnetic Selective Ride Control (F55) option and you say "...My magnetic ride sucks, bumpy no control on the valving." Is it possible you still have the plastic shock stuffers in your shocks?

With that option, the cars were delivered to the dealer with bumps stops - 'plastic stuffers' in the shocks. It wasn't at all uncommon for a dealer to forget (?) to remove them before delivery when new. Soon the customer would complain and someone would remember to check for the telltale flag hanging out of the shock and problem solved. And yes it did happened - more than you might think.

Just asking...

Good luck...GUSTO

Okay but no C6 rear leaf springs fit our cars. The rear cradle houses the spring differently
