Does anyone have any opinion on the center mounted lighting kit that goes where your front license plate goes? Are they hard to install? Are they even street legal?
I live in a very hilly area now, with tons of deer, on dark roads. I leave very early in the morning, and get home late on occassion. In other words-----in the dark!
Any opinions, experience, or help is greatly appreciated. -----Thanks
Like most things legal they aren't much fun  We built an awesome setup for our 98 car that resembled the C5-R racing lights. We removed the front nose cone, TIG'ed up an aluminum box, cut out some of the bumper foam to fit the box in. We used two PIAA 80 series off road lamps 400,000 cp each I think w/ 120W bulbs. Then cut out the front bumper around the license plate box and ran a Lexan cover. The lights were very effective for back country roads. I saw them on coming during testing and it looked like aircraft landing lights a mile away  One huge ball of light coming at you. BP makes an easy to install system but it uses legal style lighting and is not for long range.
I too would be interested in some comments on this field. One of the guys at my work has the replacement non-pop up lights but I have not gotten to talk to him about them yet.
