Bilstein B6 or B8 sport?
Hi guys,
I need to replace the standard shocks on my 2000 vert (road car only) currently fitted with FE1's, I was looking at the C6 Z06 shocks but unfortunately they are not easy/cheap to source in the UK, Bilsteins from RockAuto however are not a problem, I can get either B6 sports or B8 sports both seemingly at a good price, RockAuto lists the B8 sports as suitable for lowered cars and the B6's for stock suspension. My suspension is 100% stock now but I may look to upgrade to Z06/Z51 parts later on.
I'm leaning towards the B6's as I've heard the B8 sports can be pretty harsh and the B6's will still be a significant upgrade from where I'm at now, but given I may make further upgrades in the future I don't want to be left wishing I'd of gone for the B8 sports.
Any thoughts? There is only £5-6 difference between the B6 and B8s cost wise so this isn't enough to matter.

I have the B8's (Sport) installed and like them a lot. But my car is lowered and, I agree, they are a bit "harsh". If you're at stock ride height with no intentions of lowering, I recommend the B6 (HD) models.

Correct, but I guess its to do with the actual seller, don't ask me why though! I do half wonder if the Bilsteins will come out of Europe anyway. The postage on them is certainly pretty reasonable.
