Anyone know what the highest octane level is that a C5 can take advantage of?

Remember that octane rating has nothing to do with a fuels ability to generate more explosive power.
Octane rating is simply a rating of a fuels ability to not ignite under heat and/or pressure.
Too much octane can even act like timing retard, since the flame will burn slower once ignited.
With that said, the best octane rating for a stock C5 is what the factory recommends.

Chevy says 93 octane is recommended.
Engine will retard timing if the sensors detect any knock.
