Default Trickle Charger

With winter coming I thought it would be a good idea to have a trickle charger available to "top off" the battery charge. The car will probably not be driven for periods up to 2 weeks. Does anyone have expericnce with or a specific recommendation for a high quality trickle charger?

Thank you.

The link below doesn't show the correct picture but I just bought the Battery Tender Plus for this great price of $33.95 + shipping from ePowersports. It's good for conventional as well as AGM and glass mat batteries. It uses circuitry that prevents overcharging and addresses the different charging cycles required by AGM/glass mat batteries.

I bought a trickle charger from Sears 2 years ago and it works great ($15). My kids left the dome light on in my driver last winter and killed the battery. I put the trickle charge on overnight and it charged it!

I use the Battery Tender Plus and it works great. As a matter of fact, I put it on my car about once every 3 months just to keep the battery charge topped off and in good conditon. The other thing that I like is that you can buy additional quick connects and install them on the batteries of your other vehicles as well and all you have to do is plug the connector in. No worries with alligator clips jumping off and that sort of thing. I have the quick connects on my motorcycle, 4 wheeler and both cars. Works great!

I had gotten one from Sears last year for, I think $30. I keep it connected to the battery, all year round. You take off the battery cables, then put the rings over the screws on the cables, put the cables back on, and you're done. It fits right in the battery compartment on the car, and if I'm working on the car, and need to have the hood light on, or the stereo, whatever, I can just plug it in. It also has the circuitry in it that trickles the charge once the battery is charged up. I was going to get the battery tender plus, but didn't want to wait for shipping. I know, at the time, patience wasn't one of my strong traits.
