Some tips:
1) Remove the panel pointed to by the orange arrow. Makes things alot easier when you have to reach from the bottom.
2) The driver side has a plastic push pin with a hole, on a mirror image of where the green circle is. Because the driver side has the hole here and passenger doesn't, that's the only hole you're supposed to drill. I didn't drill a hole, I fastened my lights with 3 out of 4 brackets that come with it, and it is sturdy enough for me. No permanent mods to the car.
3) The red circles denote all the bolts you'll take out with the factory heavy L bracket. 3 of 6 bolts will be used by the brackets in the kit. Plug the unused holes with the factory bolts so water doesn't get in.
4) Remove the whole lighting module on the driver side. It's not needed and it caused my LED's to act strange when I was mocking things up. It's recommended anyways because its easy, and isn't needed anymore. I put grease in the harness connectors left over and liberally wrapped them with my favorite 3M Super 33+ electrical tape to keep water out, and put them aside. Looks factory.
5) They will NOT fit perfect. You'll probably have to ream out the holes on the metal brackets included with the headlights, to get enough motion to center them correctly. A step drill works perfectly for this.
I bought the Depo brand, they are very high quality, unlike other brands, and actually come with a DOT-compliance credit card looking card, with a unique serial number stamped onto it.

And I'll just get this out of the way:
1) They are lighter than the factory headlights
2) They focus light with the projectors and have a beautiful cut-off, rather than scattering them with reflector housings.
3) They are more aerodynamic at night and were used by the C5R team at Lemans and many other races
Any visual opinions are subjective but I think they look great

My Depos came with halogen H7s. I went through a couple brands of LEDs to find out which heat sinks were small enough to fit behind the rubber dust caps without actually touching them. I ended up with Sylvania "Fog" Light LEDs but they are still way brighter than stock.
Part number is H7LED.BX2 and exactly what I used. There might be other brands that are brighter with similar sized heatsinks, but these are fine for me for now and I know they work great.
I’ve come to this after your experience of the heat sinks and cooling fans footing behind the dust cover if only the had a h7 les in the same form with a cooling fan built in right ! Today’s the day I found them ! 32 bucks per pair ! Aircraft grade aluminum housings with a internal dual ball bearing mute fan ! How cool ! Replaces old style h7
I got thinking of they are to dark I may have to option A send back and get the clear lens covers or risk wiping off the black chrome and damaging the cover!
As I am sure they not road legal in Cali ! But do look hype I’m sure ! Maybe this place has covers I could swap now and then !
Black chrome my desire how just hype it would be with custom led Bluetooth halos just kinda got the best of me ! I was also planning to modify them with yellow led turn signals on the light cannons ! Maybe we will see if a little easy off just to clear out the projectors sight then it will be legal as all hell !
The lighting project is one of its self but all in all need to control all of it wirelessly!
