CTS V Intake manifold on C5
Hey guys
I have a 99 and I’m looking to install an LS6 intake manifold on it, I found and intake manifold from an 04 CTS V complete with fuel rail and throttle body and I’m wondering if there’s any benefit to direct swapping it in my car as is or Reusing my old throttle body from my car? Did the CTS have a better throttle body??

Your C5 came with a 78mm TB and the Cadillac V intake has an 85mm TB. Normally you could have no problems or see no noticeable difference, To get the most out of the change your will need to data/log the engine (25mile GM cycle would be excellent) to evualate what changes will have to be made. Since the cylinder CI has not changes you will be trying to put more air into the cylinder than it will hold. The PCM will adjust it within its parameters to try to make a smother runing engine.
