Before I claim my cruise control on my C5 isn’t working...how exactly do you activate it? Done some googling but it more relates to it being broken, rather than turning it on. Is it just a case of finding your speed and then flicking the switch over to the ON position, or does another button need to be pressed somewhere else? All cruise I’ve had before needs to be turned on and then set.
Anyway, if that is the method then it’s definitely not working. I’ve read a bit about hooking your foot behind the brake pedal (it’s an auto) so I’ll be trying that, and if there’s any guides to adjust the brake switch that’d be helpful. Failing that are there any other common reasons for these to go? Big cruise control fan so I’d like it sorted.
If you look at the turn signal lever the cruise switch has 3 positions OFF, ON, R/A it has it be in the ON position to activate. To set it at speed you push the button on the end of the lever. To speed up when its set you can push the switch over to the R/A position, which stands for resume/accelerate. To slow the set speed push the button on the end of the lever.
