Hey everyone. I managed to score a totally unmolested 2000 coupe and wanted to ask for advice on the sequence of which I should go at this thing. Goal: 500-525 whp street car / canyon carver. I already have a suspension plan but need some help with the order in which I should handle the performance mods. I plan to go with an A&A sc kit but can’t do it all at once, going to spread it over two years.
Headers with cats or stick with the stock manifolds? Exhaust, ls6 intake, cam (is it needed). Should the blower be last? Anything else I’m missing?
You’ll most likely get close to your goal with just the SC kit on an otherwise stock motor. Additional bolt-ons like headers, intake manifold, etc will obviously help even more and probably put you closer to 550rwhp+. My recommendation before the SC kit would be driveline upgrades if you want it to be reliable. You’ll definitely need a good clutch (I recommend twin disk) and it’d be wise to also rebuild the torque tube, get fresh engine/trans mounts, and a trans brace. Beyond that, it depends on how serious you want to get. If you’re looking for a well rounded setup, suspension and brake upgrades should be on the short list as well. It sounds like you have your mind made up already for that stuff.
I’m sure you know already, but it’s a slippery slope once you start modding

you don't need an ls6 intake or a cam for what you want... you could skip the headers too and meet your goal but it would be easier if you did have them, I would opt for no cats personally
My car made 536hp and 476tq with just the A&A kit, but I did upgrade the clutch, pressure plate, and flywheel before supercharging, also had to have the balancer pinned. I would have gained more with a blower cam, but I like how my car runs, it,s street manners are like a stock car until you stomp on the go fast pedal. My 2 cents

What clutch setup did you go with? Happy with the peddle feel?
At the time I went with a Monster Stage II, it has good pedal feel. My clutch even brand new made noise, and shudders when taking off, I have to do a couple of digs once in a while and it clears it up, I was told that Monster has since corrected that. This was 7 years ago that I installed my A&A kit.
