The power telescoping steering wheel on my 03 vette just stopped working. I can hear a click when exercising the control., but no motion. I can find no fuse or relay in the Owner's manual specific to this function. Can anyone help with diagnosis and a wiring diagram of the system?
Thanks
Jerry
I have a C5 driver, but I also have a C5 complete steering column in my garage that I was going to use in my '37 Chevy Coupe build, but I change to a 2008 C6 column. It's been about 6 months since I was working with this column, so I'm a bit rusty. But I can take photos if you need them.
Check your drivers manual to find out if and where the fuse is located and verify it's not blown. The logical location for the tel relay would be on the BCM, but knowing that's not always were it might be located.
So from your drivers manual, find both the fuse and relay.
An easy way to test the relay is to Swap with a known good relay from the fuse box, headlight relay or ...
This motor is at a bottom of the steering column and difficult to service. So it's important to check the fuse and relay First.
I haven't found a trouble shooting guide for the steering column tel, but I'll look again,
Michael..

Thanks to all. I did recently have the driver's seat repaired and one of the under seat connectors was damaged. Just repaired the connector and everything is working again.
