I have a 99. The windows have been working fine. Today I attempted to lower the passenger window from the driver side. I did not notice my passenger was attempting to lower it too; we must have pressed the buttons at the same time. Now it won't lower at all??? Just a single click noise, each pressing of the button. It won't lower from the driver or passenger side. Driver side window works fine. Did we "lock" something up? I've checked the service manual but it uses language I don't understand. Help!!
Re: Power window on passenger side won't work. (vettebob2)
pass. side window regulators are notorious for failure. I've also heard of this kind of failure and hours later it works again. Most likely you need a new one.
Besure to mirror the adjustments from the old to the new when replacing it. Don't assume the dealer will know this. They are swapping out stuff so fast to beat the GM allowance that they won't even consider it unless you make them aware of it. Mine had to go back 2 others times before they got the window tip in adjustment right.
