Short version: what size is the Allen key hole on the rear lower control arm ball joint, below the half shaft? I've seen some people say 6mm and some people say 7mm.
I was upgrading my control arm bushings and was trying to take the rear lower control arm off the car and got the ball joint nut loose, but then the ball joint broke its set before the nut was all the way off. I managed to change out these bushings with the control arm still attached to the spindle, but now I need to get that nut tightened back up and need to get a custom low profile Allen wrench that will fit in that space. I found a 6mm wrench online that should work, but if it's actually a 7mm Allen key then the 6mm won't do me any good.
Thanks for the response. I was able to get a ratchet strap wrapped around the spindle and a jack under the control arm and cranked the jack up to put pressure on the ball joint. That was suggested on another thread and worked for me.
