Got a 97 C5. My switch on the dash will not open the rear hatch and my fog lights will not come on. I have power to the switch but nothing works. I am thinking switch. Have checked the fuses and all are good. ALSO my switch to release my gas door will not work either. I have checked fuses and all are good but yet no power to the end of the plug. ALSO my right turn signal will not blink inside the dash but it does work outside. HELP

I would start by checking the battery voltage, could just be a battery. They do weird things when the volts drop, could also be a computer. I had a 1998 that had a small battery leak years ago that damaged the BCM and had some of the same issues your having now. Also check the grounds and cables.

Thanks for the quick come back but I will say that when car is not in use it is always on a maintainer charger, and I have also gone through all the grounds. I will say that I have had the gage cluster out a number of times and always when I put it back everything worked accept this last time. As I said I do have power to the plug but when I plug it into the switch nothing works, I am thing the switch is bad but really do not have a way to check it out.

The lights have to be in parking or headlight for the fog lights to come on. The parking brake has to be engaged for the hatch to open.

It does sound like a switch issue off hand. If you happen to know anyone with a C5 maybe ask if you can borrow the hatch switch for a couple minutes. Can you check the switch while you have it out and see if it has an open and closed signal? I've never tried that on that switch yet so not sure how it operates.

just seems like too many things not working to be the switch but you never know, did you check the volts at the battery? when the car is running? under load with a few things on? I have had a battery with 11.9 volts and it was toast.

With so many systems affected, might be a ground. Also, have you checked to see if codes are present?

I stand corrected. I just checked. On the A4 Vert the transmission must be in P for the hatch to open. The parking brake does not matter.

On my hatch not opening with the switch does anyone know if there is a emergency release like on the fuel door. Even if it is a jumper wire in the plug and what prongs would you use.
