Just curious of any positive or negative input on this product as I am considering buying one. Plus are they accurate? Maybe someone has some numbers putting the G Tech against some track numbers??? Thanx for any replies :)
Re: G Tech pro.....is it a worthwhile purchase??? (sweetcharity)
I have one, although it is still working, it is now held together with duct tape, wires have been resoldered three times. Ayear ago I bought the Tazzo, a few dollars more, but so far a much better product, that does much more, like 60 fts, alone, and with 0-60, 1/8 and 1/4mile. Dual accelerometers so no leveling required, get the optional mount a super solid piece. Checked with clocks at HRP, spot on, except for mph which was high less than 1 mph. My 60 ft was identical 2.33, but had it been off , you can calibrate the unit to your track... http://www.tazzo.com

I consider it a must have for tuning. I have had mine for 4 years and used it on several vehicles. It has been consistently accurate. My times at the track have been near identical to G-TECH times! It's gotta be the best $140 I ever spent!

Your new competition is accurate with the track? You are the first I've heard of that said that. They haven't "officially" released the competition yet, and I've heard they were > 1 sec off (based on the yahoo groups created for this gtech model). From everything I've seen, the race technology meter offers the most features and best performance. Check it out at: http://www.race-technology.com/WebPa...eterIntro.html
I posted about a year ago for a group buy, but there wasn't much interest (OKed by Troy). I guess it isn't flashy enough  Check it out and do a search on google for it. Found nothing but rave reviews.

I have both of the G-tech's....Pro and Competition.I have used them at the track and if set up and mounted correctly they are VERY accurate.
Re: G Tech pro.....is it a worthwhile purchase??? (VetteVert)
Yes my Comp is accurate.I only use my G-Tech's at the track so I know they are good.I know I remember hearing people say that the G-tech Pro is junk....I have shown people at the track mine was off by a mere 1/100th of a second. To get any accurate times the KEY is the setup bottom line...the Comp takes a lot more time and effort to setup correctly..... :D
Re: G Tech pro.....is it a worthwhile purchase??? (dexter)
Ok have it in my hand. Very cool, the only time I ever paid extra for speedy delivery and it actually was speedy!! I ordered this thing at 3:15pm yesterday and the wife had it before 1pm today!!! (UPS) Its the same size as maybe a passport. The optional window mount is one solid piece of metal. It is getting dark and kinda wet out, so testing will have to wait until tomorrow. :D
