Default Question for guys with Taylor wires?

I'm planning on buying new wires soon but I'm not sure of which Taylor wires to get depending on my application. I will be buying heads, a cam and long tubes in the near future so the wires purchase will be influenced by that. Basically it's coming down to either the Taylor Vertex wires or the Thundervolt wires. The thundervolt are a little thicker, but also supposedly better at keeping heat out. I would think though that being thicker would be hurtful because they would be closer to the manifold. I'm already planning on gettting the NGK TR55 plugs, but now I'm just trying to decide on the wires. Remember, I'm planning on getting heads, a cam, and long tubes in the near future. Thanks.

I have h/c & LT headers and I'm running the Thundervolts along with the Taylor Fire Sleeves. Perfect combo for good clearance and heat protection.

Where did you get the "Fire Sleeves"? Thanks for the replies.

Same place as the wires. This link has both on the same page.

Do you guys think that I'll be okay with just the Thundervolts (seeing how they're good for 600 degrees) or do I need to buy the sleeves as well?

I went with the Fire Sleeves (1200 deg. F) for peace-of-mind. The Thundervolts would most likely be fine - I just wanted the extra insurance.

I'm running the Taylor Spiro-Pro wires which I'm guessing aren't rated at as high a temp and I'm having no problems. The temps under my hood do get fairly high with my headers....
