Just finished replacing the reverse switch on the trans and the reverse lights still don’t work. The lights come on when I lock/unlock the car. Fuse in the footwell area is good too. What now?
First you can check if Fuse 21 is OK (passenger footwell).
Check also if Fuse 2 (underhood fuse block is OK)
Check also if ground circuit is OK regarding continuity to ground G401 .
If these are OK you can check if the Body Control Module grounds the N5 side of the BackUp relay with a multimeter
Well I figured it out. I had replaced the fuse prior to changing the switch out but apparently the faulty switch blew my new fuse. Replaced #21 fuse again and I’m good to go!
