Hey, no need to be sorry at all. Take it as a learning experience. If anything, you now know that troubleshooting requires a disciplined and logical approach, where randomness has no place 
You may have overlooked that the fuse was blown, but you conducted the tests you were asked and the results pointed back to the fuse. So, in the end it was a success

Another BCM problem #2
Well I am sorry to say I am back with yet another problem stemming from my original post of [ Another BCM problem ] and with all the expert advise I received this is the only place I will go for help. Every thing turned out good, my hatch opens by the push button, my gas fill cap opens by the push button, and the fog lights come on with the push button ,,,,,,,,, BUT I have run across another problem ,,,,,, down at the bottom of the gage cluster where the odometer is and it shows you mileage and everything else you can bring up with the DIC ,, there is nothing and pushing the DIC buttons nothing happens and I hear no noise from the DIC when I push the buttons ,,, EXCEPT at the RESET button I hear a beep, all other buttons are dead quit. I am wondering that with all of the screwed up testing I did with the new tester I bought and not knowing really how to use it did I fry the DIC buttons cluster.

The button panel is just buttons and backlight, so if it's not working it's in the cluster. I don't know much about the internals, but it's typically bad news when the display itself quits assuming the rest of the cluster is working.
