Due to hurricane repairs to my house, my 2003 50th Anniversary sat without starting for 30 days. The battery ran down. Of course, I put a 2A charger on it overnight and all came back - except the HUD. Has anyone else experienced this? How can I re-boot the HUD? Thanks in advance.
Someone else may be able to chime in with better information but when my battery died on my 01 a month or so ago I had a handful of things still missing initially and went for a maybe 10 mile ride and everything started coming back. I was told that after the battery comes back it may take a little for the main computer to start communicating with some of the other systems. Hopefully that’s your only problem.

This might be a coincidence, but turn up the brightness all the way. Get in your seat and lean way forward towards the windshield and look down. The pins inside the HUD that hold it up may have broke, and this positions the HUD display way downwards out of normal view from sitting in the seat. It's happened to me, and various other people here.
My HUD recently just went dark. But then again my dash and hvac unit have gotten steadily dimmer or dead, broken incandescents and/or resistors, so I had assumed there was some similar issue for the HUD. But searching quickly, I haven't seen any DIY hud repairs/pcb-surgery so maybe not, only a couple threads that dried up.
So the lazy side of me is hoping the computer will fix it for me. And get me beer.
