So with the corona quarantine I decided to take another crack at figuring out the Tech 2...
Started VX Manager and did the self-test - all pass
Started Tech2win - pick North America - the mfgr and interface (from other posts on this topic)
- Get a screen "System Initializing" and I can see that everything passes
Tech2 home screen appears - <enter>
Pick Diagnostics
Model Year 2000
Passenger car
Diagnostic circuit check
Class 2 DTC check
- Waiting for data
- No communication with vehicle
I pick Exit and the app terminates
I guess I should take some screen pictures - but am I missing something obvious?
Still trying to figure out what useful things this app can do....
Yes - I got all of those forms and got through them. Maybe I'm just trying to run a test that doesn't work on my '00? The way things are going with corona I'll have plenty of time to test it again this weekend (and take screenshots - if its not raining (can't get my doors open very far in the garage)….

If you get these pop ups then it seems like your drivers are installed correctly .
Have you tried to connect the Tech2win to the ECM or the Body control module and verified if your Tech2win get live data like shown below ?
I have a 00 model my self , but live Norway and the Corona has hit our country hard and the most of our country has been shut down more or less for nearly two weeks now.
But so far my 00 Corvette has not been hit by the virus
Well I tried it again today - I used the attached - printed out from a post here - as a go-by. When I tried it the other day I think I used the default Product Line which was F - this time I used Y. I marched right through all the screens but when it gets to the point where it wants to talk to the car the program crashes. I am using it on a laptop running Windows 10. The version of Tech2 is 33.004
Well the firmware update on the VX Nano was no help - Tech2 crashes at the point where it wants to talk to the car. Is anyone else running it successfully on Windows 10 64-bit (no VMware involved). I also have malware bytes running - tried shutting it down but no difference...

I run Tech2win on my HP 64 bit win 10 Pro laptop .
After you upgraded your firmware , I did the same firmware upgrade on my VCXNANO and Tech2win work perfectly with my car
Have Tech2Win been running on your laptop before ?
Update : How did you install your software ( See red marked text below)
I wound up building myself a Windows 7 32-bit laptop, installed VX and Tech2, and it worked like a champ first time. I followed some notes about exercising the ABS - I couldn’t hear anything clicking or buzzing - but the program said it passed. Want to see next if it can look at the HVAC actuators.
i had to find an older laptop - the newer ones with the ‘Lake’ processor are unable to run Win7....
You have a 2000 model like me . If I choose year 2000 on my Tech2 or Tech2win , my ABS pump only runs for 1-2 seconds when I try to exercise my pump doing Automated Test under Special Functions.
When I replaced my brake fluid last winter I had to choose 1998 to get the Automated Bleed available as a choice ( missing when I choose 1999 and 2000) under Special Function.
The pump run appox . 30 sec on each bleed when I flushed new brakefluid through the EBTCM .
I made this video of the excercise ( sorry for the Norwegian text in the video )
There is only one OBD 2 plug under the steering column . The serial line in this plug ,is connected to all of the units in our car .
I´ll go out to my car in a couple of minutes and make a short screen video of my Tech2win connecting my HVAC unit showing live data

I finally had the time to watch this in its entirety and take notes. I had read elsewhere that for some items you must pick an older model year. I guess key to this procedure is being able to pressurize the system through the cap - I guess this saves you from having to "jump in the car and pump the pedal" - in fact I'm guessing that without the external pressurization you would not be able to do bleed the system using Tech2. I noted that you pressurized the system to appx 80 - is that PSI or ??? Thanks again for posting - now onto your next masterpiece on HVAC
