ABS problem
Been working on my 02 Z06 this weekend. It’s had a c1242 code for several months now. Here’s where I’m at. I removed the EBCM, opened it up and re-soldered the 5 places on the relay everybody says to do. Re-installed it and nothing changed. I unplugged the smaller wires going to the EBCM on the very bottom, turned the ignition on and probed the 2 connectors and there is no power on these at all. Does that sound like my EBCM is dead? Also I want to exercise the ABS pump, I’m confused on how to tell which wire connector is the positive though. Both wires going to the ABS pump are black. The pump will just run counter clockwise if hooked up backwards though like any other D.C. motor would though, am I correct with my thinking? Would that possibly cause any damage to the pump assy? Don’t know why they couldn’t have just made it with a red wire and a black wire. Thanks for any help
