I just picked up a pair of used FACTORY C5 Z06 grill inserts (from a wrecked C5 Z06) and I want to install them into my 04 Coupe.
They have 2 little "tabs" with holes in them and that suggest to me they either bolted or clipped onto the bumper. Does anyone know how these mount (perhaps someone with a C5 Z06 could chime in/snap a picture)? I'd like to avoid using velcro or tape.

Two normal black 10mm hex bolts or screws hold them in. M8 from what I can remember. I also can't remember if they are bolts with nuts underneath or go into threaded U nuts. Maybe some one else knows for sure. Its a little work getting in there, have to get it up and disconnect the bumper at the bottom via all those 7mm screws.
Update: Got to get under an 02 Z today. I pushed down the front air ducts for the brakes like you're replacing the turn signal bulb.
They are like I remembered - held in by U-nuts with self tapping screws.
This means holes drilled in the bumper. or maybe a heavy duty single-hole puncher could work.
7mm heads with built-in washer, I think the screw diameter themselves are #8 or 10
I could literally find no diagram or any info on this any where on the internet.
