Default 2001 z06 diff fluid?

Hey I’m about to do a diff fluid change I recently did my transmission with redline was wondering what redline fluid everyone uses? The 75/90 or the 75/140? My car is making 430whp with a stock diff and new clutch.

I used 75/140, although I used Royal Purple. I believe Redline is just as great. I think this is the recommended / best thickness to use..

Some people *still* recommend factory fill, non-synthetic, when in reality, it is shown to be not as good as modern synthetic fluids

Just my 2 cents. Mobil LS synthetic 75. 90w. Over 1000hp.

I’m running Amsoil severe gear 75w90 in mine with a bottle of their slip lock, it runs good.

How do you like the wavetrac? I know it’s a pricy unit. What are the advantages of it over the stock carrier assembly? How does it do going around turns?

Well the Wavetrac's are gear-diff positraction, like the Torsen T2R upgraded in my past TA:

LS1 TA 4.10's, Torsen T2R Gear Diff

They work the best for street driving / road course / AX. Not necessarily drag racing..that's why RPM put's them in their rear end builds..

are you saying RPM does not build their own diffs and trannys ? What do they do then, just assemble ?

Not a thing about trannys. I'm referring to the limited slip wavetrac differential, that RPM for example puts in their rear end builds

Its just like any other posi for the most part.... the best part though is that when you hit the corner bump and unload one of the tires it keeps power to the loaded wheel unlike a quaife,.....
