Default frustrating seat issue

I have been trying to repair some issue son my late father's 2004 C5 vert...One issue that is frustrating the crap out of is the driver's seat. The power functions have not worked for years. I tested the SCM and found there is power going into it, but there did not seem to be power going back out to the motors. So I removed the SCM from the passenger seat and hooked it up on the drivers seat. The motors were working but not doing the functions I requested, but at least it seemed the motors all worked.

Then I figured for shi*s and giggles I would try the drivers seat SCM again and BAM everything was working properly. So I went ahead and installed it back to the bottom of the seat and after that it doesn't work again..even if I take it back off the seat there is still no motor response.

Anyone have an idea what the issue is? I am thinking that since the thing worked before I put it back in place the SCM itself is not bad?

Any info is appreciated

Josh

Start simple and check for pins backed out of connector or broken wires inside the insulation.

There is something that is intermittent that is probably connector related.

C3 is the black connector on the top of the SCM

Position A is on the bottom right of the connector

My photos show the problem I had about my driver seat not moving intermittently. Conn A3 on the SCM had a broken wire which was the “ Battery 12v fused” wire. Put a new pin on that wire and it was fixed. My post is dated 2/18/20. Good Luck

I have checked the pins and "as far as I can tell" they all look intact.....When I open the cover of the SCM I actually tested the metal inside and the power on the incoming is there, but the metal for the outgoing connector inside the SCM had nothing showing.

Of course that was before it worked for a moment.
