If you move back to a 15” rim to mount on a stock C5 do you have to change nuckles or will they just bolt on? I want to do a little drag racing and am trying to figure out best tire combo?

Good question. I'm sure because some have done it, generally speaking. I'd be worried about the brakes clearing, but not sure...never heard of having to change knuckles for 15's, but you never know.

yes you will need drag spindles and do some grinding on the brake calipers and lower control arms to clear 15" wheels... you can also buy aftermarket rear lcas and brake kits if you don't want to grind on the stock stuff

The knuckles/spindles are quite expensive as well are they not. I think wcc wants over a thousand for two. And yea don’t want to grind on my brand new calipers. So should I go with the smallest rim that still clears drakes and tie rod ends? Would 16s clear or do I go to 17”s? Any info tks

Folks have gone pretty quick on a 17” drag radial...
15” wheels are really the best option for hard core drag racing, but certainly not needed for the occasional trip to the track.
