Default 2004 TPMS Issues

What's up guys, I'm stumped on this tpms and trying to get it to work. Maybe someone can throw some light on the subject.
2004 Z06
Echlin Qwik Sensors 315MHz
Purchased the car with OEM wheels with no TPMS sensors in them and the TPMS disabled in the BCM.

Sooo, I purchased new wheels and opted to get some TPMS sensors in them. (We forgot to program them prior to install)
I enabled TPMS using a Tech2, I was then able to see Lxx Rxx in my gauges.
I then was able to enter tire training mode and get to the point where it says Learn L Front Tire. BUT when I put a magnet on the stem to activate the sensor I got no horn honk, nothing.
Still showed Lxx Rxx in the gauges.
Few weeks later I got a Service Tire Monitor System message on my dash.
When I was recently at my wheel/tire shop we learned that we forgot to program the sensors before installing.
So we had to deflate the tires, then scan the sensors with a SnapOn tpms3 and create and upload all 4 sensors. (Thankfully we did not have to break the beads)
Now with the 4 new sensors created and uploaded we tried tire training mode again from the dash. Still no honks when using a magnet and dash still displays Lxx Rxx under front and rear.

Any ideas? I'm stumped and I'm almost to the point of just disabling tpms again and eating the $120 I paid for the sensors.

Are you sure the sensor is trainable with a magnet? Some of the universal sensors require a tool to get them in the training mode. The relearn procedure is the same except the tool gets the sensor to go into training mode.instead of the magnet.

I would of bought Schrader or AC Delco TPMS sensors. Schrader makes the AC Delco sensor. I have never heard of the brand sensor you purchased.

I let my wheel/ tire guy order the sensors. he's never had an issue with them.

Looks like that is not the case now. I assume your wheel/tire guy replaces wheels/tires on many different brand of vehicles. I would use the OEM TPMS sensors recommended for the year of your Corvette.

Your tire guy should be able to tell you if the TPMS sensor is going into training mode. The universal sensors I have seen all say that they have to be programed before they are installed. I would get the part number and call the manufacturers tech support line. They should be able to tell you how to get the sensors to working and if the sensor is compatible with your car.

I bought a $9 activation tool on Amazon using it instead of a magnet.
Amazon Amazon
and I was successful in getting 3 sensors to activate and make the horn honk. I can now see pressures on my dash.

Gonna pull the car out this week and try the relearn process a couple more times to get all 4 sensors functioning properly but I'm on the right track!
