ITB Setup?
Has anyone here done an ITB setup (individual throttle bodies)? What are the pro/cons specifically in a C5 application? What all is involved to make it work?
Yep tons of issues but I'd put filters at the bottom of the list since it's the one thing you don't need to have to get the engine to run right. ITBs have a long list of technical challenges and the answer to all of them is "custom" which is why it seems nobody finishes an ITB project on our cars. It's a shame because I'd love to have some myself.
I wouldn't say filters are at the bottom of the list, working ITB's don't help if you can't drive the car in fear of sucking dust through the motor lol.
But yes, everything will be custom. A few "custom" topics from the linked thread.
filters
drive by wire or drive by cable (most likely DBW since that's how the PCM/C5 is already set up)
linking all 8 TB's to common linkage to open evenly.

I don't think it's impossible, just take a crafty gearhead. My big question will be resulting power. "Short runner" intakes are good for high RPM gains. "Long runner" for midrange gains. I'm ASSUMING ITB's will act more like a short runner setup however I suppose you could adjust the runner length. A good starting point would be the resulting runner length you can have with the modular FAST setup that comes with three different runner lengths. Fully custom runner length on ITB would be limited by hood height limitations and or fabrication.
