FOB Training Does not show on DIC
Hi
I have a 1997 C5 corvette that I need to set the remote up.
Following all the posts none say that they can't bring up "FOB TRAINING".
Press and hold “Reset” on the 3 seconds. Press the "Options" button until "Fob Training" is displayed on the DIC screen.
I get to pressing the options button but FOB Training does not show on the dash>

Here is the instructions I have for my 2000, Will be same for yours. I just did mine yesterday.
Make sure the Battery in the FOB is good.
Turn key ON
Turn Radio OFF
Press DIC Reset Button
Press the Options Button on DIC until blank space appears
Press and Hold Reset for 3 seconds
Press the Options button until FOB Training is displayed
Press the Reset button to begin the programming sequence. The screen should say “HOLD LK + UNLK 1ST FOB”
Simultaneously press and hold the LOCK and UNLOCK buttons on the remote for 15 seconds
A message will appear on the DIC showing the program was successful, and then you will be asked if you would like to program another remote. Just follow the screen prompts to complete the next remote.
Turn ignition off and remove the key from the ignition
Insert the key and turn the ignition switch to ON to lock in the programming.
Make sure the Battery in the FOB is good.

I have a 99 and have the same issue. There is a Japanese radio in it that when you press the off button its says "do you want to turn off screen". I don't think it actually turns the radio off though. Could this be the problem?
