I read that is it possible to get the doors to unlock when the key is removed.. It is true?? if so, how do I get them to do it?? I have looked in the configuration section on the DIC and have found anything that allows me to do this. Any suggestions???
Not sure. My 2000's doors always unlock when I remove the key and always lock when I put it into gear. Could this be a model year design? I don't think you can program it into the DIC.
It's true, at least on later cars. I don't recall when it was added but if you've looked in the DIC settings and in your manual and you don't have the unlock option then maybe you don't have the unlock option.
Check out Top Down Tech (vendor) and their window commander as it controls windows and door locks. I am still looking for a used one, if anyone sold car.
