My throttle body is bypassed, so no leaks when the intake is off.
I initially put a dry pressure gauge on, it lasted a couple of years. I switched to a liquid filled gauge, good for two more years so far. I think the issue with pressure gauges is the maximum operating temperature, usually 140 degrees. Under hood temperatures are well above that.
