Drivetrain rattle in higher gears?
It only noticeably happens in 4th and 5th usually, around the middle of the rpm range to the upper middle (3500 and up give or take). Happens the most when there’s extra load, particularly when going up a steep hill.
It’s not like shifter rattle I’ve experienced in other cars where it sounds like it’s coming from the **** and it’s more like a clacky kind of rattle, I want to say it feels like it’s coming from the torque tube or something. It seems deeper and stronger than I’d expect just from a shifter.
i made sure to be real careful cutting the boot so I don’t THINK it’s because of that, but maybe I’m wrong?
Just don’t want to find out I have a torque tube or diff issue when I do my clutch eventually.
Opinions?
