Non working DIC and wierd gauges
Hello all;
I have an issue with my 98 C5 A4 Base. It has been sitting a long time. The last time I drove it (1 year ago) the DIC was showing "reduce engine speed" and "High oil temp" even though the engine was not even warmed up. I just put a new battery in it and was going to do a bunch of overdue maintenance items and I noticed this. Now the DIC shows nothing at all. It seems to run fine, but the tach does not react correctly (sometimes not at all) and the amperage gauge is showing low even with a known good battery in it. The very last time I drove it, the amperage gauge was above 14 at highway speeds.
Any suggestions would be welcome
