Rpms varies

I have a 2000 and when pulling up to a stop the RPM's will drop off to about 400 which makes the car just short of stalling. After a couple of seconds the idle jumps up to normal by itself. If I am sitting at idle in neutral and tap the gas up to 1000 or 1500 the engine will actually stall as it comes down to idle. The MAF has been replaced but did help somewhat but did not cure the problem. If I just keep my foot on the gas pedal very lightly when coming to a stop and take my foot off after a couple of seconds all is well as far as the idle goes. Any ideas or fixes?

Try cleaning your throttle body !!

Maybe a dumb question but how does a person go about cleaning the throttle body?

Here ya go !!...Brake Kleen and yes throttle body cleaner will work !!
