LS3 Swap: Any issues with 58x-24x conversion module?
I'm preparing for a L3 swap into my 2002 Z06. I've read a dozen posts about the process including the need to buy the 58x-24x Reluctor conversion module. Everyone has made it sound plug and play. When I was on the phone with Texas Speed today discussing CAM options for a crate engine, the guy cautioned me about the conversion module. He said it would make the ECM happy but that, "none of your gauges will work, except the speedometer." I assume he means that the Tach would be affected and not show rpm correctly.
Can anyone confirm or refute this concern?

I haven't used one of those boxes personally but another option is to remove the crank and have a 24x wheel installed onto it then you won't have to worry about that... however you do need to make sure whoever installs it has the tools to get it in the correct orientation
