1998 C5 Corvette Issue: My window washer fluid reservoir was removed due to debris in chamber, I disconnected the window washer sensor , cleaned out the reservoir and then added clean fluid and replaced the sensor in the same position, notch of clip on top. After re-installing with new fluid filled to the top I am getting a recurring "low washer fluid " dashpanel alert. I cleared all the DC codes and re-checked the position of the sensor. with float facing down position with the Clip notch upright on sensor where the wire attachment enters. It continues to show up every time I start my car or turn it off after clearing the alert. Thanks for any suggestion. The sensor worked fine prior to my cleaning of the window washer reservoir so its doubtful that now its a bad sensor.
Any suggestions would be appreciated before I fork out $30 bucks for a new sensor. I read all of the previous threads and last resort was to place a wire around the sensor to close the circuit .
