Default Walbro fuel pump issues

I had some engine work about 3 years ago, the guy installed a walbro fuel pump in the tank.... this year it went bad. my local mechanic(not the mods installer) took it out and i had him install another just like it. its only 3 months and Im getting the same issues.... car runs fine park it, come back, wont start, just cranks...several times after walking away and coming back, it starts. this last time at work my buddy tried shaking the back of the car up and down to jostle the tank and gas.... car started right up..i shut it down and tried to restart to test...it did, but i barely started and it deiseled... I shut it down and it started fine... came home...parked the car...30 minutes later. it wouldnt start. I banged on the gas tank through the SS sheet metal protector. and lifted the rear up and down fast....didnt work.... came back hour later...it started....the mechanic said the first one was grinding.. and making noise..... my buddy says the walbros seldom go bad....is something else going on possibly??

I'm pretty sure you have a bad connecting. possibly the ground. Get it up in the air to get to the wires and start checking voltage and continuity.
And i'm pretty sure the mechanic didn't check that because he thought it was a pump issue.

im wondering if it was an electrical continuity issue, then why wouldnt the car have ever just stopped running, while i was driving it.... that scenario never happened... but the no start issue happened more than a half dozen times...?
